25 - 7th Annual "Maui Jim Rutledge Chili Cook-Off" to benefit Relay for Life. Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, February 25, 2012; the event will once again be held at Fudpuckers from 4 to 8PM.

Last year we raised $3,238.21; this event is the largest fundraiser for the club, and is a major portion of our donation to Relay for Life.

Now is the time to be thinking of items for our Silent Auction. We hope that all members will be on board with items as the Silent Auction brings in a large part of monies from the event. Items can be new or gently used; nothing too small - we can combine smaller items in baskets.

Once again, Island Diane Rutledge will be coordinating this event. She has already secured a number of items including a Margaritaville "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" Adirondack Chair (valued at $450) and a Margaritaville Liquor Chiller (valued at $199).

Attached is a Donation Request Letter and a Donation Form for use when soliciting donations.

Contact Island Diane if you have (or will have) items for the auction at Wolfcry97@aol.com. You can also email her if you wish to volunteer for the event. Positions include Entry money takers and sell Chance Drawing tickets.

9 - General Membership meeting at Fudpucker's in Destin starting at 5:30. Music by Loren Davidson all the way from California! Wear your ECPHC name tags for discounts.

30 - March Phlocking--- to be held at Poppy's Crazy Lobster on Friday March 30th starting at 5:30 (56 Harbor Blvd). With your nametag you will get: $1 Miller Lite draft, $3.50 Red Stripe, $3.50 Well drinks and $3.50 Margarita's. Also, heavy appetizers will be included with your 2011 or 2012 name tag. The evening entertainment beginning at 6 PM will be provided by the group: "Something Fishy". We heard them play at the Harbor Walk Mardi Gras and they are great! Also, FYI: Poppy's are donating four $25 gift certificates to be given away with our raffle drawings!!!!

**Remember, March is the last month you can get discounts with your 2011 name tag. Renew your membership ASAP at any meeting, phlocking or event. April starts the new year.

5 - This summer Crab Insland Mambo (a Trop Rock Phriend) has asked to team up with Emerald Coast Parrothead Club to co-sponsor our beach clean-ups. Held at the same beach on Okaloosa Island (Beach Walk #2) where we have been the last few years. Dates for this year’s clean-ups are: May 5^th, June 23^rd, August 18^th and September 8^th. The clean-up starts at 9:30 am with an “Ol Fashion” Parrothead party on the beach afterwards. Look for some special surprises this year as we work to make the Beach clean up bigger and better than ever. Bring your cooler, snacks, sunscreen, musical instruments and help us with our "Volunteer Hours" to clean up our beach then party like only a Parrothead can.
